Not Worrying at the Central Vancouver Island Regional Program
Over 50 participants turned up at the Central Vancouver Island Branch’s Nanaimo location for a regional intensive and Jai celebration on May 25th. After some Taoist Tai Chi® practice in the morning the group was treated to a Jai (Chinese vegetarian meal) of spring rolls, bok choy, a mushroom dish and steamed rice. Afterwards, a review of Central Vancouver Island Branch activities in 2018 was shared with the group at our Annual Branch Meeting.
Jim Nicholson led the group through practice of the Taoist Tai Chi® arts and chanting. He also shared insights into the Ten Thousand Buddhas sutra, parts of which the group chanted enthusiastically. We were encouraged not to worry too much about performing the moves or the chanting but to approach these practices with a light heart. Everyone enjoyed the day’s activities and the message to relax, to not worry, and to enjoy our wonderful Taoist Tai Chi® arts.
