Moving as One in Winnipeg
After practising the Taoist Tai Chi® arts for just three months, I had the opportunity to attend the National Program, October 20th & 21st, 2018, in Winnipeg. Walking in the front door of the Henderson Highway location for the first time was as welcoming as going to my usual location. Everyone was smiling, talking, hugging and laughing. The air was light and happy.
You could feel the sense of excitement that everyone had to begin the class, and with almost every step I took I was met with another “hello” and a smile. The room we all gathered in, even though we all did not know each other, was full of people with one obvious similarity; we all have a passion for Tai Chi. Under the guidance of instructor Blaise Baillargeon, we began working through the full set. I was amazed watching this large group of people, no longer strangers to each other, being in sync with each other. Standing up tall, sitting, stepping and moving as one.
I am in love with this art and all the gifts that it offers.
